Betty Taylor is the friend who holds your hand after your heart's been broken. The band is made up of Sophie Patrick, whose indie hooks and sincere and often tongue in cheek lyrics are complemented by Kayla Smart (AKA Dorah Jacson)'s stunning harmonies and dreamy guitar riffs. Helping to strike this perfect balance between power and charm are Claire Chittick on bass and Katie Ishaque on drums.

From an open mic to a backyard party show 2 years ago, Betty Taylor has quickly become Australia's newfound indie companions. In late 2022, they signed with development label Hello Gardener, and their debut single 'Stallin', produced by one of Australia’s most exciting engineers Aidan Hogg (known for G Flip, Jaguar Jonze, Hope D), premiered on triple J. It has already accumulated over 400,000 streams.

In the midst of 2023, Betty Taylor took a significant step forward by joining the revered global agency WME. Their endearing live show presence has graced stages alongside acclaimed acts such as girl in red, Beddy Rays, Teenage Dads, The Rubens, The Buoys, Matt Corby, and Boy and Bear. They've also left their mark on memorable festivals, with standout performances at Groovin the Moo, Big Pineapple Festival and NYE On The Hill

Betty Taylor's success has been marked by a series of impactful singles. Their second single, 'Glitter', garnered notable recognition, being featured on prominent platforms such as Good Nights on Triple J, Home & Hosed, and Best New Music with Richard Kingsmill. Its immediate addition to playlists upon release underscored its impact. The band saw a huge growth as they appeared on the 'Australian Made' Hot Nights/Abbie Chatfield program, reaching an enormous national audience through both the radio and online channels.

Their subsequent singles, 'Can't Get Enough' and ‘Young Dumb Immature’, stand as a testament to their evolving sound and collaborative spirit. A writing collaboration with Aidan Hogg, both songs were added immediately to across the board rotation at triple J and have been top ten most played at the station.

Latest singles ‘Young Dumb Immature’ and ‘Hollow’ saw the band receive major Spotify international and National editorial playlists such as – Fresh Finds, Indie Arrivals, Indie Pop, New Music Friday and a cover for Local Noise

After just returning from a huge Europe/UK/IRE tour with The Grogans, Betty Taylor has a wild number of national and international tours both headline and support in UK, Europe, Ireland and USA, their debut EP is out in December with the calendar of a band setting up to be amonumental global name.
