Stormcellar are a pioneering 21st Century Australian Roots Band, with a string of critically acclaimed albums, 4 US tours and a decade of live performance.

Well described as a Musical Collective that mixes the major roots styles with Multimedia and performance, Stormcellar are entering their 11th year, still hard at work with the Sydney Identity Project, a musical and visual exploration of their home town.

By any measure, a decade in the Stormcellar is a busy time; 9 albums, 4 US tours, 3 Number #1's, 500 shows, 740 video clips & video Blogs and hundreds of 'making of' blogs and commentaries on their website.

Stormcellar have written for & played with; American Blues & Soul legends, Australian champion fiddle players, a 'Cultural Treasure' Mongolian throat singer, famous American rock session legends, Mid West Poets and over over 60 local Australian bands, their commitment to supporting the local music scene by including support acts wherever they can.

Stormcellar have played biker bars, pubs, clubs, RSL's, VFW's, festivals, arenas, markets, Renaissance fairs, street fairs, Charity Benefits in support of Mental Health, Breast Cancer & Animal Cruelty, backyards and street corners, everywhere from Chicago to Tamworth, Nashville to Eden.

At these shows you may have witnessed Magicians, Black Light Art, Poetry Performance, light shows, lasers, Flamenco Dancers and at least 1 audience member marriage proposal on stage (she said yes).

They've recorded at the dome of Skywatch Observatory in Coonabarrabran, on the beach at Coogee, in a Basement in Missouri, in major studio spaces in the US and Australia, Mangrove Mountain Community Hall, backyards, boat sheds and the streets of Sydney on every format from iPad to 2 inch tape.

Over 10 years they have gathered media attention by way of their viral music videos, appearing on the Channel 9 Today show, ABC's RAGE and featuring on radio across the US, Australia and Europe.

The Blues Bible 'Living Blues' reviewed their 8th project 'Kansas City Gold', a rare mention for an Australian band, rarer still for one based entirely on original writing, with Stormcellar becoming one of the first Australian bands to write for old school, original US Blues & Soul legends. Americana & Roots magazine 'No Depression' calls them 'powerhouse songwriters'.

Understandably, Stormcellar have developed a cult following in the US, Europe and Australia.

In 2018 Stormcellar are working towards the release of their 10th and 11th albums and the completion of the corresponding Video elements.
