The Stag & Hunter Hotel (Mayfield, NSW)
Saturday, 20 July 2019 7:00 pm
Newcastle's foremost bubblegum punk band, The MANSONS, was formed by four schoolboys in Mayfield, NSW in 1981. After an illustrious career spanning over 2.5 years The MANSONS disbanded due to extreme musical, personal (hygiene related) and philosophical differences. Hatchets were buried in 2016 at Newcastle's premier live music venue, The Stag and Hunter Mayfield, just a few short blocks from their original rehearsal, management and promotional hub, Monkee Manson's bedroom. This July 20 The MANSONS reunite for a third time to recreate the sonic ecstasy of their early shows at North Leagues Club, Nitemoves, Southy Beach Pavilion and various Newcastle halls, garages, back yards and living rooms. FUNGAS will represent the next generation from 8pm, then The MANSONS will deliver two sets of high-octane, ear destroying, cute and fuzzy favourites like their mega-hit single "I Died Four Times (but I don't wanna talk about it)" and "Go Away!" from 9pm - FREE ENTRY.
